Over the past few months, I’ve found myself thinking a lot about how AI is slowly slipping into everything we do. It started as a small conversation here and there, but now it feels like every corner of the world is talking about Artificial Intelligence. Some people talk about it with excitement, others with fear, and many of us are just trying to understand what it really means for the future of work. One thing I’ve realised is that AI is not some enemy coming to fight humanity. That's how I see it.  It is more like a new assistant that has joined the workplace. It doesn’t take away “people” . It takes away the boring and the difficult parts of work. The long hours spent typing, arranging, correcting, and repeating the same task over and over again… that’s the space where AI is slowly doing the heavy lifting. There are moments in life when the news stops feeling like just news and starts feeling personal. That’s how I’ve been feeling recently with everything going on in Nigeria. Every day I come across stories, videos, and posts about Christian communities being attacked, people running for their lives, families losing loved ones, and entire villages living in fear. Whether someone calls it conflict, crisis, or genocide, one thing is clear to me: something very wrong is happening , and the world is not paying enough attention. I’m not writing this as a journalist, an expert, or a politician. I’m writing as a human being who feels pain when other human beings are suffering. I’m writing because silence sometimes feels like betrayal. And honestly, writing helps me think, process, and breathe.
